Kendall Hill returns to a Queensland seaside village that’s just right.

My favourite restaurant is Vivo, an airy pavilion fronting the Amphora resort on the Esplanade. The Italian-leaning menu, as with the decor, is smartly modern and interesting and extends to such creations as a grilled Kurobuta pork cutlet with vanilla roasted pears and a primitivo (I think that’s a red wine) reduction. We’ve just had a very ordinary few days at Palm Cove which ended with a sensational evening at Vivo – and I was so pre-occupied with thoughts of our early departure the next day that I walked away without leaving a tip – so herre's $50 for the tipping bowl!

Whoever is responsible for the seafood buying does a great job. The quality was fantastic. The recipes were something else – the hot sausage with mussles was great & I have to say the panacotta was out of this world. I can still taste it in my mind. And of course great execution with everything perfectly cooked.

Thanks for a really lovely experience where everything from the table setup to the ambience to the food was absolutely perfect. Vivo is a "must do" for anyone going to Palm Cove.

Now that we are finally settled in Berlin we can look back at the extra ordinary day that was our wedding. The whole process from beginning to end was an absolute pleasure and the ease with which you accommodated our every wish, took an enormous weight off the whole event.

The day itself was for us, a dream come true, spectacular, beautiful, delirious and ultimately the best day of our lives! We often look back and think of the fantastic atmosphere and the happiness and support with which we were surrounded. My parents are still hearing from people, saying how wonderful our day was. Our friends say to us in a secretive way, it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

Again, thank you for your professionalism, from what we saw, it ran like clockwork. Even while attending our every want (and our guests) you all remained positive and beautifully poised. Finally, we hope to be back 'around' July to celebrate our 1st aniversary and so long as you remain there we will coma back every year. We wish you all with the warmest of hearts, good luck, good food and good times.
